Last OS for iBook G4

My iBook G4 with 1.25 GB ram runs 10.5.8. It has .25 GB permanent ram and I added 1 GB. How did you get 1.5 GB? Perhaps I read it wrong.

IIRC, the lastest 2005 G4 iBook had 512MB on mobo instead of only 256MB like its predecessors, so a buck nekked '05 12" @ 1.33GHz would fit gl's description. We have the 14" rev @ 1.42GHz w/ a music CD hopelessly stuck in its optical drive that has 10.5.8 on it w/ its 1.5GB RAM, but we're afraid to fire it up because the optical drive keeps going bonkers trying to eject the ill fated CD that doesn't wanna come out. If gl's kid can get some dough for hers, that'd be terrific.

as stated, 10.5.8 will work, but you want to stick with 10.4.11

Buzz has it right. 512MB on board.
