Last week: 15.9 miles of light (walk/jog) interval training, 34.2 miles on the treadmill. Went to the doc for a cholesterol check which could have been better. But heart rate down to 46 b.p.m. (one try only with doc's BP machine) from 70 a few years ago.
Either it's a misreading or you have the heart rate of a competitive endurance athlete.
Apparently not a misreading. The doc said the BP can vary but the heart rate is quite accurate. The doc, who is my age (63), said his was 42 bpm. He does run and is very trim and fit appearing unlike me. Mine might be low because I've gotten in about 1300 miles of exercise since October. In college when I was on a cross country team that placed 2nd in NCAA D2 (no thanks to me but I benefitted from the excellent training) my bpm was 30. When I was 23 and not training much it had risen to 35 bpm. But before I started regular exercise four years ago it was 70-72 bpm.
