I will always remember when Steve Jobs introduced the G4 Cube, it is my favorite memory of him

If the Cube had been more reasonably priced, I'd have been very tempted. People at that Expo were very interested in them. Wish I had seen at least one Steve keynote. I was too cash-strapped to shell out for the Keynote when Expo was in NYC.

The Cube setup always looks nice in marketing materials. In real life, not so much. The cable clutter, wires, dust, scuffs, and desktop stuff ruins the look. We had one at the office. The speakers were busted. The keyboard was gross. mouse wire was frayed. Cube case had scuffs all over it. The monitor was missing. We chucked it onto the recycle heap and had it hauled away.

Your office is awfully hard on computers. My Cube looks great! The 23" display, not so much.
It was used as a workstation in a work office. *shrugs* When it was retired it was put in a box and stored away. Everyone jokingly had dibs on it to take home. But when it was time for spring cleaning and the recyclers were scheduled to come, everyone passed it off to each other and no one wanted it enough to take it home. Recyclers carted it off with the CRTs and e-garbage.
