The male organ is vulnerable to all sorts of hazards, dangling as it does outside the body's trunk. I found that out once the hard way. I probably should rephrase that last remark. Those of you who are or were "mainline" joggers/runners in harsher climes will know whereof I speak.

Many, many moons ago during my running days, I made the mistake of NOT wearing more wind-resistant slacks and underwear during one of Chicago's cold spells while doing my daily miles. Like while running during freezing and ZERO temp days! You only make that mistake once! And I'm not kidding!

A painful problem was resolved by wearing PLASTIC (synthetic?) pants either over my underwear or over my outer slacks as a WINDBREAKER! That took care of the potential "frostbite" problem of one's most "vulnerable organ".

Additionally, sometimes the real danger of running during harsh (cold) conditions is OVERDRESSING! You generate a an awful lot of body heat pretty damn quickly. OK, as long as you're running but stop or slow down too much and you're vulnerable to freezing just as quickly. Not good!
