How did I live without the "Multiple Speakers" option in iTunes?!

[quote laarree]I'm sorely tempted to get another Airport Express unit for the other side of my apartment so I can hear the same music throughout my entire home.
Last year I bought a set of Polk R30 refurbs from Outpost for this purpose...but I just ran extra speaker wire for them via a hole drilled into my hardwoods...and through my basement , then back up through the hvac vents in the living room...so I could listen in both my living room and my den. It is a nice setup with a single AE.

John-o, you might consider getting one of those wireless g usb dongle thingies to stick in your desktop so you can broadcast tunes to your AE. They are well under $50, I think. EDIT: Here's one, about $20 shipped. Beats running ethernet cords everywhere: http://cgi.ebay.com/54Mbps-USB-Wireless-...dZViewItem

You could probably find similar at your big box for less.

Wow, it works! All I had to do was upload the newest firmware (6.3), and now I can use both the computer speakers and the stereo, via the network, without any additional hardware! I'm impressed, though I have no idea why it wasn't working before.

Works now though, cool!

Just did the update... Very cool! I've got my AE set up in the Kitchen. Now I can play music in the Kitchen and Study synced together. Very nice.

I though I was the only slacker who hadn't caught up with the times and enjoyed
the consequence of the 6.3 AExpess firmware update, but I guess not.

Let's all have a delightful music-filled Sunday!
