[quote N-OS X-tasy!]I'd check to see if that Logitech driver is PPC only; I'm sure the Entourage conduit is.

Don't know about the mouse issue, but I had great difficulty getting Palm devices to work with the Entourage conduit even on its native platform -- I imagine it might well nigh be impossible to get it to work properly on the Intel platform.
I never had a problem syncing before last night.

I'm beginning to think it's a hardware issue with the Treo. I've had numerous problems with my Treo, such as unexpected spontaneous resets. A real PIA, but up to now I never had a sync problem. I'm going to take it in to Sprint tomorrow to have its connector checked, since the problem was not only syncing, but having the recharge connection indicator light come on.

N-OS X-tasy!, are you using the latest universal version of the Missing Sync? It works fine with Entourage.

Everyone in my office who has a Treo has this problem. A real PIA, but up to now I never had a sync problem. I'm going to take it in to Sprint tomorrow to have its connector checked, since the problem was not only syncing, but having the recharge connection indicator light come on.

I retired Entourage when I moved to an Intel Mac. I didn't run Missing Sync on my PPC; I tried to use the conduit Palm and/or MS put out.

What happens if you unplug every USB and FireWire device -- including the hub -- except for the Apple keyboard and mouse?

After I zapped the PRAM and disconnected everything the mouse problem may have disappeared. I say "may have" because the problems were always intermittent and seemed to escalate as time went by.

I reinstalled the Logitech mouse software, which is supposed to be Intel ready, and am using the MX 1000 right now. So far, it seems OK. I'll have to wait and see if the problem remains fixed.

Believe me when I say that I'll be glad if the problem was just something that I inadvertently brought over from my G5.

I keep thinking when I call Applecare to complain about the same problems that I had on the G5, that they'll take away my MacPro and tell me to stand in the cornerBig Grin

heh, or they might just send you a PC!

But seriously, the only way to troubleshoot a problem like this is to eliminate any 3rd party hardware and to start from a clean system install. Anything that did not come in the box from apple is suspect. That includes any software or data transferred from your G5.

You have to use known good hardware to troubleshoot, and the only way to do that is to start with known good software. That means nuke & pave in many instances.
