Gas was 4.05 at the station next to work this afternoon - up from 3.95 when I passed it on the way to work this AM. Diesel was 4.69 at another place I passed on the way home.

Well, we just got dinged again here in Northern MI. Was $3.99 last week, dropped to $3.94 a few days ago, and as of this afternoon, we now are looking at $4.14 for the cheapest stuff at all three stations in town.

I paid about $6/gal when I rented a car in France.

This morning, in S FL, regular is $4.19 and diesel is $5.14. It will be higher at the station next to work (right at a freeway exit).

Yesterday morning when I filled up my car, unleaded regular at my local no-name corner gas station was selling for $3.63/gal. When I drove by at noon, the price was raised to $3.69/gal.

I walk to work a few days each week, and Mrs. Poochie works 1 mile from home, so our cars only get a tank of gas once a month or so.

But home heating oil is $4.69/gallon. I fear the winter. It's gonna cost me $600/month to heat my house. I'm buying lots of sweaters!

I made an extra trip to costco so I could gas up on the cheap fuel. My wife estimated I saved a whopping $1 over gassing up at the safeway next to her workplace. That really saved me some money (sarcasm).

My fuel bill really isn't a significant part of my budget so $4 gas will not affect me in any way. My wife will still drive the yukon etc. I would say that I'm wondering what our near future will hold though. With developing countries needing more fuel and no new sources that I'm aware of, $4/gal could just be the beginning.
