Hey Mikebw,
What was your total bill before the switch?
Well, before it was about $119.51.
It was $57.99 for 15/2 internet and $43.99 for the Premier TV (which included many HD channels, but not the new "extreme" ones and no movie channels. So that's 101.98, plus 12.99 for the HD-DVR, that's 114.97, plus fees.

Do you have the "extreme HD" channels? If you do, you should only be paying $79.99 plus 12.99 for the HD-DVR. With no movies channels, that would be $92.98, plus fees and taxes. You are probably still on the "premier TV" which right now gives you less for more money.
EDIT: So now I should be paying 79.99+12.99+14.99 = 107.97 + fees, which is $7 less than before.

MSG? Don't know what that is.
Yeah, free SD box, for the bedroom, infrequent use. Have yet to see if any of the extra "extreme HD" channels will be available in SD format. I bet you could ask for a free SD box too, they probably have quite a stack of them just sitting around.

I guess you're not a Knicks fan
MSG=MadisonSquareGarden Network.
Watching the pathetic Knicks in SD on a 50" plasma is DOUBLY painful. I could totally use the free SD box for the tiny kitchen TV. Will get on the phone with them tonight

I am really enjoying the HD movies on my new TV. Regular DVD's just do not look that great in comparison
Thank you!

two blocks south, three blocks north, three blocks east, four blocks west... alas, we live in the local FiOS free ghetto, w/ no indication of when Verizon is going to fix the situation. royal bummer.

It means that you cannot host a website on your home computer via a FiOS internet connection. For some people this is such a huge deal breaker that even if FiOS were free they would not want it.
