Digital Photo frame recommendations?

I must admit I don't fully see the utility of these frames. Do you hang it up somewhere with a fixed pic or a slide show? Either way it gets boring after a while. What about the power cord, specially if it goes on the wall? I am afraid it may end up in a drawer somewhere just like the real albums.

I'd rather hand grandkids the picture frame with vacation pics on it than my laptop.
My TV will view display them, too, but for some reason the kiddies will take turns holding the picture frame and yet arguments arise over the TV.

I've seen some people take one with them on vacation to view pics rather than try to look at thier tiny camera lcd screen.

Edit: change TV from view to display. It's just not that bright.

Those questions were in my mind, as well, Dakota.

Now that I have the frame, I have been "challenged" to find just the right place for it, especially since it needs to be near an electrical outlet. If you have any framed pictures displayed in your home, the digital frame can take the place of many of them, so start there in figuring out where to put it.

You'll have to figure it out, but the impact of your pictures in one of these frames is pretty amazing compared to what you've had in the past.

I can't predict what your enjoyment of using a digital frame will be, long term, but so far I'm pretty jazzed with it.

As is often said here on the forum, YMMV.Smile

So somebody like you probably shouldn't get one. I couldn't see the value of them for quite a while, either, but then I was going through some old slides that I'd scanned several years ago. I really enjoy looking at those pictures, but they're a bit like those photo albums in the closet - I rarely get them out. That's when I began to think about a digital picture frame, and I'm getting ready to order one. I do have a place I could put one where I'd see it often throughout the day, so I'll see how it goes. I'm going to be doing slide shows, and I bet I wind up with several different folders of pictures, sorted by subject.
