I worked from 6AM until 12:30PM, collapsed at home until 4:30 when I went back to work until 11PM. Holiday crunches are good in terms of earnings, but hard to take physically. By the middle of the morning and evening rounds, my feet could best have been described as pain-filled blobs. Getting home at 11 meant I got very little sleep before heading out this morning at 6 again. I'm glad things are back to normal as of tonight.

Darn, what is the nature of your job?

We landed about 11:00. There was still a ton of fireworks going off.

Flying into Chicago, we had the most amazing light show across the country.

What time were you landing?

I watched fireworks from about 8:30 to 10 PM from a rooftop near 35th and Halsted.

Was intently monitoring where I thought 63rd street might be and got to watch the whole thing from start to finish. They were small and too far away to hear but you could see the whole thing.

Lasted about 15 minutes-- a steady stream of professional quality fireworks with no real pacing or flow . . .
