CAFE Mileage ratings... How would YOU react to 62mpg ?
#31
I don't know about engines? I bet you can't tell the difference between a camshaft and crankshaft. Reeling you back to the topic, parse my reply and answer them if you want to have an exchange. Let me shorten it for you,

-The country came to a stand still with $4 a gallon gas, you want $12 a gallon?
- No new technology came out of Europe after 30 years of $5 a gallon gas.
- What is the real cost of a bag of potato chips and how much subsidy is in a bag?

Germans invented the hybrid engine over a century ago, did they not?

The US is the number one market for hybrids, and yes they became popular as gas prices rose and concern for the environment increased.
.

Europeans did not need PC hybrids, they solved the issue by having super efficient diesels.
Compare the mileages vs the additional manufacturing costs associated with a hybrid.
Now we are pushing them into the same pit of PC stupidity ...

No standstill. Never said I wanted $12 a gallon gasoline. I want to end oil production subsidies. Those companies can afford to pay their own way.

Such baloney, hard to know where to start. Try the Google. Average car in Europe gets 40 mpg, in the US, it's 20.

If potato chips are that important to you, then use the Google. You brought that up, not me.

Proving my point.
