And there is a way to do it. Dealmac can do it. The Stickies remain NOT expanded no matter which way you view the Dealmac forum. So it can be done.

I guess I'll reiterate MHO- the stickies don't bother me at all but animated emoticons in subject lines (sticky or not) drive me absolutely bonkers. I find them as annoying as websites that are loaded with music or sound effects with no way to switch them off.

I view the threads collapsed so the scrolling to find new threads issue isn't a problem for me but I can sure see how it would be incredibly annoying for those who choose the other view!

like I said previously, change the code so that stickie threads are not expanded, no matter how they are viewed...

Having all those stickies as you first enter gives one the same impression as seeing a beautiful blonde from behind, who then turns around and has green teeth....
