speed reading

I read very quickly... Perhaps 600 wpm or so. But then I don't 'read'. I page at a glance, then process, skip most of the short words, and get the pattern of information. Textbooks ? 100-200 wpm is about right.

It's all about what you want to get out of it. And I learned to do it by just.. reading. A lot. Speed up for the BS, slow down for the important stuff. Like the funnies !
