Okay, I'd like your thoughts on a reusable water bottle.

How about a Fiji water bottle? They still use the stiff plastic.

The square sides make it look classy too Smile

I've used these bottles for a few years. Yes, they stand up, even when they are mostly empty.

For stainless steel bottles, I picked up a few of these for $5: http://www.sierratradingpost.com/liberty...-bottle%2F&colorFamily=73

I have a Klean Kanteen. Very durable and fairly light. The aluminum bottles are lighter but they usually have a liner which seems like an area prime for premature failure. No need for a liner in stainless steel bottles. Also, even though the Klean Kanteen bottle is made in China, they claim to audit the manufacturing process. http://www.kleankanteen.com/faqs/faqs.php

Another option, although of aluminum construction, is Liberty Bottleworks which are made in the USA. I also have a 32 oz one that I use as a small beer growler.

Sierra Trading Post has some from $5.

I have the 24oz Contigo Autoseal that is hands down the best water bottle I have ever used.
Features one hand operation, you just squeeze the back and the valve opens up, no lid to lose!

No weird hose to drink from.
BFA free. No metal taste, very durable, won't dent.
And the handle doubles as a clip you can put around a bag strap or whatever. I actually drink more water now because of how easy this thing is to use.

They also make an 18 oz version - http://www.gocontigo.com/autoseal-martin...ottle.html
