Makes you want to ask someone; "You're building a new Parliament building, in one of the oldest and distinguished cities in Scotland, a symbol for Scotland of renewed independence. Look at this set of plans and tell me what the designer was smoking/injecting when he came up with it?"

I ask myself a variant of that question nearly every day when I travel about NYC. The New School has just erected a building that makes me want to poke my eyes out. Or the architect's. Many of the horrid buildings I see are completely at odds with their surroundings. Then there's the Frank Gehry Mistake Building downtown…
