guns kill more people than car accidents in 12 states plus DC

When your agenda is empowering yourself to control other people's lives you seek means to affect that empowerment

When your agenda is empowering other people's lives via enrichment you extend compassion and empathy for their suicidal and other mental deficiencies.

Yeah, there are a couple of options. Keep going to funerals and sending sympathy cards. Or do something about it to help prevent the deaths in the first place. It's so naive to pretend we'll do away with mental illness or crimes of passion or violent tendencies, we never will.

If cars were as dangerous now as they were a few decades ago, we'd all be going to a lot more funerals. And the manufacturers and drivers didn't make the changes voluntarily. Somebody had to have an "agenda" to "control other people's lives" in order to keep them alive.

We could significantly reduce gun violence, so far we lack the will.

Any concrete ideas?
My $0.02 on low-hanging fruit:
background checks for all firearms transfers - that won't stop straw buyers, but it's better than just throwing your hands up in the air and more-or-less saying "they're going to get them anyways, so why bother trying".

yes, great place to start

We could have safer and saner gun ownership, it's really not that difficult.

We could allow the CDC to study it as well.
