Problem with an older version of EyeTV

Hi everyone,

I do have a spare one, so I'll try swapping it out to see if it's a hardware problem.

To answer Black's question: to get it going again, I have to quit out of the app and restart, but then the problem occurs again.

I know EyeTV can be flaky in general, so I'm also going to try a complete uninstall and then reinstall, and see if that makes any difference.

And yes, I've noticed that they generally run hot.

Now it's clearer what your problem is. I had "the same" problem recently and solved it by updating to the latest version of the software.

Problem is, 3.3.3 is apparently the latest version I can run under Tiger.

Yes, 3.3.3 is the latest version that runs on OS X 10.4.11. I checked and that is what is running on my DA G4 with its processor upgrade and a USB2 card installed. So far I have not run into the video freezing up on this system.

Thanks... then I'll try swapping out the hardware first, then if that doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall.

It couldn't be something in the software settings, could it...?
