Will USB 3 peripherals

USB2 on the 2010 macbook was much faster than anything that preceded it. I've seen transfers up to 40mb/s - right up there with the fastest FW400.

After 6 years USB 2.0 reached about 90% of the best results for FW400 on a Mac. It will be lots slower than USB 3.0, but new hardware running over USB 2.0 with a recent version of OS X can be surprisingly fast.
