I've really gotta update my "toolkit"... I've been lagging behind since "most" of the Macs I'm supporting are so far behind the curve!
DropDMG goes back to the original Mac OS days, IIRC.

I agree DU is "bunged" up and in my opinion almost unusable. Like ka jowct I often resort to snow leopard to get the job done.
