Used to love looking through their catalog. I liked the style in which it was written. I actually bought a couple things from them in the day, too. Figured they were long gone.

Got a breadmaker and my first phone/modem which connected my Apple //c to the internet from them.

Rolando,

I remember them. I delved into the site a bit and I gotta say, the bluetooth receiver they're selling actually sounds pretty darn good. 'course, I've got an mPOW model that is a bluetooth receiver/speakerphone that works well for less than $20 but that's a different matter entirely.

DAK's mailing address is in Brooklyn but their contact number is a Nassau County area code. Does kinda make you wonder...

I remember the catalogs.

There was more than a fair bit of schlock, there.

Don't ask me how I know. LOL

Used to love his catalog. I remember the "Bone Phone", which basically turned your bones into a speaker so you could listen to music without headphones.

According to the wikipedia article - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DAK_Industries, he retired in 2012 and sold the business to a long time associate. The original DAK had gone out of business in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy in December 1994. The current DAK.com was started several years later as DAK 2000.
