ATF, Baltimore Police Respond After Suspicious Vehicle With
1,000 Gallons Of Gasoline Found Near Inner Harbor
Police are investigating a suspicious vehicle that’s leaking gas in downtown Baltimore near the Inner Harbor.
Police and fire officials said the van they are investigating is in a LAZ parking garage in the
100 block of E. Pratt Street near the Promenade.
A four-block radius around 100 East Pratt Street was evacuated, according to
Mayor Jack Young and other police and fire officials. Eyewitnesses tell WJZ that
several office and commercial buildings in the area were evacuated including the T. Rowe Price building,
The Gallery and several hotels and restaurants in the area.
Traffic is also at a standstill downtown where roads are blocked.
Officials are asking motorists and pedestrians to avoid these roads:
Pratt, Calvert, Lombard & Light streets.
The bomb squad is on scene investigating.
