.....yeah, will get telephone calls at work (the number listed on the medication) reminding one to refill....wouldn't it be easier to email or text reminder.....??

Not talking about prescriptions.
They have "follow-up" and "wellness" programs that they use CVS for. When I get a call from "Blue Cross" following up on a visit to my doctor, it's actually someone from CVS trying to trick me into giving them additional marketing info under the guise of healthcare.
If you ever have a hospital visit and a couple of days later a "nurse" calls from "Blue Cross" to check up on you, odds are that it's actually a marketing drone from CVS masquerading as such.
