I stupidly wrestle with my cat, which means my forearms are scratched up.

Max doesn't attack bare feet.... (he learned that the same way Malibu did... only maybe with a bit less force...)

Paul, I only "sent him off forcefully" the last time when he attacked them while I was in a sound sleep.
Don't want you to think I abuse the little furball. If you can call something that weighs 17 pounds little.

Boo and I play "mousie toes" but I try to make sure there are at least three layers of covers over the toes. She won't attack feet when they are out from under the covers but moving around under-she goes nuts.

My poor pounce-less kitty doesn't know the fun she is missing!

That's ok, she knows how to make the best of a catnip treat, curl up on my lap, purr, sleep on my head, meow a response when I talk to her and swat the dog on his nose when he gets too close.

Even better, I can clip her nails myself, she is a dream in the vet's office and she allows me to shove 3 pills down her throat every night. Smile

[quote M A V I C]I sure hope my wife doesn't read this thread. She's been wanting a kitty. This thread almost makes me want to go get one again...
I can hook her up with half a dozen loaner kittens (if you ever piss me off, just a warning ;-)

ours do that. They have been fighting a running battle with the "Quilt Monster" for about 4 years now. It usually ends with the monster quietly slipping away..........only to return the next night....

Back in my country living days, I had company over for a cookout, eating steaks under the oak tree. Tiger decided that good food should be had by all so she wandered into the field next door and caught a vole (or small mouse, I never learned the difference), brought it to the party, wandered under one of the tables of diners and started crunching away. Then went out and got another one to eat under the OTHER table. My guests were not particularly amused!

She had two encounters "in the wild" that helped the vet rehab his historic home, but finished out her life indoors in the suburbs, lasting a good 17 years.

Tiger's mother once caught a humming bird that flew too low (I was able to free it) but she never really showed much interest in hunting anything. Never quite understood how the kitten learned her hunting skills ... sure wasn't from "mom."
