Always a relief once it's done. My hernia surgery last month was OK, but then I got two weeks of diahrrea, which was thought to be c. difficile; but tests were negative. Now guessing it's colitis. I wonder if surgery somehow triggered it. Surgeon denies, but I'll ask GI doc.

Jerry, the advice I was given after surgery was to not try to tough it out when in pain. They warned me that if pain gets really bad because you are not taking the meds, it can be harder to get it back under control. Also, follow orders about how much you can bend, etc.

Recovery is going well! thank you all for the support! I have yet to hear about the biopsy so I will keep you all posted. Hopefully no news is good news.
