honestly, I'd be rich if I didn't pay so many taxes.
I went back to tax cut this year, because the Turbo Tax was some damn expensive when I was out looking.
But that being said, Turbo Tax, imho is better in that it seems to ask you all the right questions, whereas Tax Cut seems to forget a few things.

I used Tax Cut for about the 8th year. The difference this year is that I did it on the Mac; previously I've always used the PC version. Worked fine but didn't seem as polished as the other platform.
Unfortunately, not only am I paying about $1500 in additional taxes, I realized I only take home about 53% of my gross. The rest is taxes and other withholding. If I took home my take home, I'd be rich!

All that's left to do is put the check in the mail.
I had to pay in $1200 this year. It's not the end of the world. I saved up with the worst case scenario in mind. After federal and state taxes are paid, there's still money left over.
