I just software unlocked the phone and put my Vodaphone UK sim card in. It works!

It looks like Apple may announce the iPhone in the UK on Tuesday. Should be interesting...

I used this one and it was very simple. http://www.freeiphoneunlock.com/unlock/

First used iNdependence to jailbreak, activate and then transfer the unlock utility to the iPhone. http://code.google.com/p/independence/
