I've used rechargables since the mid 70s when I was just a kid.
yeah I had to charge the batteries every night for my Walkman for the next day's schoolbus ride, but with them lasting for several years and 300+ charges, they sure saved me money. And as a pro photographer, I would have to be an idiot to use regular alkalines in my strobes.
So don't accept the fact that your kids are causing the problem. You are for letting them. As a 10 year old, i could keep track of mine, so can they.
