Apple admits fault, will repair cracked cases on white MacBooks

OK you got me, I didn't read it. So now it's just official that it will be covered whereas before it may or may not be depending on the circumstances.

my wifes core duo just had the top case on the right palm rest crack a couple of weeks ago -- guess its time to go in -- no other cracks like those shown in the photos

Official? Where? What I saw said that it extended only to the original Core Duo models, and only for cracking in specific places.

Took the wife’s MacBook in today. No problem. They will replace the palm rest for no charge. Should have back tomorrow! mile:

we'll be making a trip to the Apple Store soon. (its so nice to say that now that we have one here) We had a sliver sticking out on the palm rest of ours. Now its just broken off so its not as irritating. Needs to be replaced nonetheless.
