Hi There
I just got a new Dual Core Mac mini.
I have a bunch of Divx movie files that I want to play via Frontrow. The files opens up in Quicktime and then nothing happens.
I normally use VLC that plays everything thrown at it, but not QT 7.04 even with Divx 6 drivers.
Is there a way to fool Frontrow to open up VLC ? Or have QT to play Divx ?
Please Help
Martin

I really don't think you understand Front Row.
Front Row uses QuickTime to play files. If the file won't play it QuickTime ... then ... it won't play in Front Row. DUH DA-DA!
Front Row is not a player. It is an alternative GUI for the other players (iTunes, iPhoto, QuickTime Player, etc).
My suggestion to you would be to try installing the Flip4Mac, sorry MICROSOFT Components for QuickTime and see if that solves the problem.
If not, maybe you should reconsider your need to watch porno.

Dear Chas_m
I understand Frontrow very well .......
I was wondering if it was possible to tweak Frontrow to use VLC instead of QT.
Flip4mac is for wmv files. Or does it work the Divx files too ?
In Denmark we have a saying .... "Thief thinks everybody steals" ......... got it ?

Cool, thanks for the advice.
On "The Other Forum" somebody told me about this new piece of software : Media Central that will do the trick.

I haven't tried Media Central yet -- sticking with the factory experience for the time being. If you try Media Central, be sure to post your experiences.
