 BTW, I may be planning a trip to SF & even more north than that next month (that is, if my friend would ever call me back so I can make plans!)

The canyon overlook is very close to Flaggstaff, so that would be #1. I love microbrews so that is #2. The observatory is well worth a look see if you can get to the scope and there is some good viewing.
The red rock formations of Sedona are spectacular but, as I recall, it takes a while to get to good viewing sites. Sedona would probably take a whole day trip at least. |
