I was lucky enough to be in attendance at Dodger Stadium when Kevin Gross threw a no hitter. Pretty cool. Like a playoff game.

A really pretty girl caught my attention in the seventh and that's when I mentlly left the game. Later Ted Williams hit his last home run. I had no idea until after that I could have been witnessing history, I was way too involved in trying to make history. I was 16 so of course I missed either witnessing or making history. The witnessing was gone forever, the making would have to wait another year or so.

I love to see a great pitcher - plus the pace of the game is so quick!
Sorry to hijack the thread - I believe that Mussina had a perfect game into the 8th inning against the Indians. IIRC - it was the catcher that had a clean OF hit. I remember the crestfallen feeling as I was watching on TV. Also I was in attendance the night Eddie Murray hit his 500th HR (not when he hit it though)- we had kids with us, a 2 hour rain delay that we just could not sit all the way through on a school night. Heard it on the radio on the way home! Crap.
