"...it's a 15min job."

It actually took me a little less, it's that easy.

Another vote for 500Gb WD Scorpio Blue

BEFORE YOU DO _ANYTHING_, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A BACKUP COPY!!!!

1. Remove battery.

2. Remove L shaped bracket that covers RAM slots

3. Pull tab on the left, which slides the HD out.

4. Remove little mounting screws from HD

5. Put little mounting screws on new HD.

6. Carefully slide new HD into MB, making sure tab is accessible

7. Put bracket back on

8. Put battery back in

9. Boot

Some folks like to copy the old HD to the new one before they install, which is probably a bit safer than the other way around. Obviously, you need some gear to be able to do that (2.5" HD case or equivalent)

If you can install RAM, you can do this.

Can't say the same thing about the 12" PB G4. That was a bear of a job.

The 12" PBG4 is still easier than the iBook. Having done both, the 12" PB is long but the iBook is long and bloody annoying.
