VMWare Fusion academic pricing - half off
#11
Apple's terms for the Educ Store also are that if an audit shows you ineligible for academic price, they can bill the difference to your card if you used one. Last I knew the same was buried down in MS's education pricing terms, so not a real difference from VMware.

too bad the VMworkstation isn't discounted more, that could come in handier.

I just paid $27 on Amazon with a $10 rebate (and there's a possibility I also qualify for a competitive upgrade)... so why would I want an edu version for $19?

Do you have a link to that gabester, the cheapest I see on Amazon is $29.99 for Version 1. Or 41.99 w/ a $10 rebate for Version 2 w/ the free upgrade to Version 3. And yeah trying to get my academic upgrade is being a huge PITA right now, it won't even show existing copy to let me upgrade.

gabster is referring to a gold box deal from Monday, which has expired.

Mine is in the mail.
