Tree's up!
#11
Toys...

My 7 year old gave me her wish list...

4 PAGES!!!

I mean, why didn't she just hand me the whole catalog.

I tried to tell her that she didn't need a list that long. She said she wanted to make sure she didn't miss anything.

We always have an "all of the above" tree too, though we call it a christmas tree despite being non-christians (it has a nice ring to it). I definitely relate to the shrinking family gathering loss of "sparkle". My mother passed away just over a year ago (the last of our living parents so we are both orphans now) and last year was the first year in a decade or so without having her as part of the family gathering. We will still have a nice christmas morning and our kids will both be here, but it won't be the same.

Nice tree, Rhonda!
We will be spending our time with my aunt's family in another city. However, we will put up our tree this weekend to the wish of The Wife.

That is the part of the tree dedicated to the members of our family who are followers of the "Flying Spaghetti Monster". I thought everyone knew that, sheese.
