I figured roof first but it's kinda a toss-up with the timing. Roofers are busy and I don't want to be painting a month from now. I may have to paint first and go up there myself to touch up some spots. NOT what I want to do. But it looks like the roof first is the better option.

By hiring contractors the damage done is their problem not yours.

If the painter spills paint he cleans it up.

If the roofer scratches or mars your eaves he repairs.

But you always roof first.
