Citibank has been hammering me recently with offers of no interest for 18 months on transfers or purchases. The tiny print shows that pesky fee of like 3% for the privilege of transferring, though :-(

They can't pawn these debts off on Iceland, or whoever, anymore...

Except for the very recent American Express Gold Card offers of the last few weeks I haven't gotten too many credit card offers for the last 6-9 months.

Still can't figure out how I'd recoup that card's $125.00 a year fee.
I think I'd have to put a little more than the 10 gallons of gas a week I now put on a card a week on it. :-)

Do you belong to CostCo? Their AmEx has no annual fee so long as you are a CostCo member. There's no interest...if you pay the bill in full each month, but you get cash back for your purchases too. So, something to think about.

many CCs have gone up to 4% fee for a balance transfer, and have dropped the usual cap of a max $75 for the fee.

So that no fee, 2.9% for life $12K I transferred about 6 years ago was one hell of a deal.

true but this makes an effective annual rate of 2% on a short term loan.
good luck finding that elsewhere today.

I was very surprised to see that offer end up in my mailbox.

0%/$0 transfer offers are gone for at least another generation. You might as well go try and get a NINA loan for a mortgage.

Yeah, I had the feeling that the one I got a year ago (0%+0 bal trans fee for 1 yr) after a Lot of googling, was probably at the tail end of that ride. Fun while it lasted.
