3 liters in your camelback? Seems a bit much. I have just used bottles and two large ones fit in the net pockets of mine just fine. For me, it'd be a huge compromise to give up that much functionality just to have slightly easier access to water.

Carrying extra water can always be a wise option, but choosing a backpack only on that basis isn’t a wise option either. There are many other options available for hiking backpacks which you can consider http://www.monsterbags.com/backpacks/hik...vita-75l-w which is also useful for long treks.
