I don't see it that way, ST. In fact, I see the simple procedure you listed to restore a connection as a sure sign that Apple really does care.

Well, I'd sure like to think they care, but it wasn't anywhere in all the complaints of similar problems on their help site. You'd think they'd see it there and simply post the solution.

I just noticed so weird WiFi behavior on a '11 MBA. It started after the upgrade to 10.9.3. WiFi shuts itself off or requires me to cycle it for a connection.

I don't know. I DO know that being able to switch to a different browser has been a big help several times for me. Really no downside to having more than one browser on a machine.
