If I remember correctly (and I may not), they have released new hardware a couple weeks after WWDC in the past, sometimes in a special event, sometimes quietly. I wouldn't rush out to buy any new hardware this week.

Those sound like INS numbers. When we were petitioning for my wife's green card and later citizenship we'd frequently get letters from INS stating "We have received your application. You can expect a response in 787 days."
