New Computer: MacBook Pro! YEAH!
#11
It's true that XP Home doesn't support multiple CPUs, however, Microsoft bases it on the number of CPU sockets and considers a dual-core to be a single socket. In other words, XP Home works just fine on any dual-core CPU. Only the Mac Pro with it's dual-socket dual-cores will not recognize all cores under XP Home.

BTW, I usually recommend XP Media Center Edition because it's much cheaper than Pro--only a litlle more expensive than Home--and for all intents and purposes it is Pro, with the Media Center additions.
