Anyone else have trouble with iDrive customer service?

Just blowing off steam here...

I ordered iDrive one-year service along with a wireless 1TB drive in mid-August. Great deal at $35, right?

Wrong.

The drive was defective upon receipt, but multiple calls and emails to "customer service" received no response. Finally got a live person on the phone, who very reluctantly sent out a return label and promised to replace the drive upon arrival of the defective unit. That was August 31.

I've reached out a few more times via email and phone, but nothing in response from iDrive. My last alternative has been to dispute the transaction with my credit card company.

Overall, this was a terribly bad customer and product experience. Hoping to save someone here the exasperation and wasted time.
