Left my ipod on the plane - any chance of getting it back?

For a lot of people it is just too attractive. Good Luck though.

[quote incognegro]if i found one on an airplane, in the seat pocket in front of me, i'd turn it in.

but that's me.
I wouldn't turn it in, b/c I'd probably be giving the airline employee a free iPod. I would do as finn suggested and contact Apple with the serial number, then get in touch with the owner myself (or have Apple get in touch with him/her).

probably not, but speaking for myself i formatted mine initially with my phone number in the name - that way, if some honest soul finds it, there is a prayer of me seeing it again. my condolences...

Last week the SO got the munches during a movie. We have a 24Hr CVS up the block and I volunteered to make a chip/dip run. I get the best parking spot in the lot and depart to find a fresh $20 bill wetted to the pavement right behind my car. I gather my stuff and prepare to pay with my soggy $20 when I hear a little one (of three) exclaim that "Mommie lost her $20" and watch this little lady rush frantically out the door. I follow her out and wave the damp $20 and say "did you lose this?" She was parked right next to me so I knew it was hers, I would have surrendered it anyway.

hey, I left a camera on a plane once, and i got it back. It was completeluy insured, and I had all the film, so I wasn't too pissed off. Then I got a call.......

I think you could get it back. Let the Airline know you lost it and what it looked like.

I haven't seen a lot of evidence that the cleaners look in the seat pockets any more.
I bet it's still there.
