Of the last 10 people to do this, none have particularly strong speech-making skills nor anything about them that would spark my interest as a listener.
Stacey is different. I generally don't care about this speech at all, but this time I will. The last ten, beginning with last year: Joe Kennedy III Nikki Haley Joni Ernst Kathy McMorris Rogers Marco Rubio (well that one was funny at least) Mitch Daniels Paul Ryan Bob McDonnell (before he went to jail) Kathleen Sebelius Jim Webb

But then I always cringe when they do something like that because I really don't like pandering and it always seems forced. Abrams is so incredibly worthy right now and she feels like right now. Hopefully, she can be the fulcrum (along with Gillem and the not paid enough attention to Mike Espy of Mississippi) to blueing up the South somewhat. November made them extra real. I'm hoping the closeness of those races help detach Republicans from kowtowing to Mitch and Donald and try to salvage themselves because Nov 2020 is coming and bunches of them will be vulnerable.

Yes I want to see a lot more Abrams, Espy, and Gillem and all the people they will expire and whose names we don't know yet. |
