Nobody needs to be reminded of how terrible Pence has been. Everybody knows.
Who would think think that he's redeemed himself because he was a gentleman for a couple of weeks? Nobody.
Nobody is 100% good or evil. You may be my enemy, but that doesn't mean that I have to be an ass to you all the time. Or, not be grateful that maybe you let me into traffic.
It doesn't mean I won't continue to square off against you, but it shows that I can be generous. I can be the bigger man.
