His initial defense was likely provided by his union. Now that he is convicted, he is no longer in the union and I seriously doubt they will foot the bill for appeals.

White supremacists will likely pitch in.
He already had >$1M legal defense-fund set up.

I hope the public celebration doesn't get stupid. That would be so counter-productive

Major cities across the land were bracing for violent protests. Instead they’re seeing celebrations.

I can’t help but think that on some level this is a message for conservatives: You can see us protest when you kill us, or happy when there’s accountability.

Nothing to celebrate. Justice was done in this verdict, but at a great cost to life. And there's still no justice for Brionna. Or Ahmaud… or, or, or.

It's a start. Of course, Maxine Waters should've kept her mouth shut until AFTER the verdict. But no malice was intended. The murderer will get his appeal hearings regardless.

The message that many of them will receive (aided by their favorite propaganda outlet) is, "I guess it's okay to break the law now. Radical leftists will force the police to escort criminals home and then help them carry their (stolen) groceries inside."
