Looking on the real time map, the GPS location is within 20 feet during the times I've used it. Precise enough for the driver to know what side of the street you are on. It's always helpful to give the driver a wave and a nod while s/he approaches. And if for some reason you can't find each other, the driver will pull over and give you a call. "I'm wearing a blue jacket, standing in front of the fire hydrant,,, Ohh I see you." type of convo.

It's usually close but not always. Sometimes it's way off. I mean like a quarter mile off. And once I had one that was at least a half mile off.

Always tip in cash. Keeps it between you and the driver, cuts out Uber and the feds.
