But no one should ask to be spoon-fed items that are in the product's user manual. Do you agree or disagree?

Disagree.

You honestly think that people should not even bother to read the fine manual, that it's perfectly OK for them to come to forums like this and ask to be spoon-fed basic operating instructions that are clearly documented by the manufacturer????

What are you thinking? What kind of a world do you live in?

Since you have Build 1970...then you will need to set up a Shared folder/directory point. Easy to do, and in the Help menu.

With that said, the next revision of Paralles (final release of the next upgrade you are entitled to...Build 3186)...is available for download, and offers the simple, easy drag and drop of files between the systems.

Just go and download the latest version of Parallels for Mac...and follow the instructions to upgrade. Parallels Tools will run the next time you restart Windows (in order for the upgraded features to install/work on the Windows-side)...then you are all set.

THAT won't happen. He'll come here to ask how to download the latest version, then he'll come here to ask how to install it as an upgrade, then he'll ask how to click the mouse button...

I think this forum is a comfortable place where anyone can ask any question. This forum is a community of friends. Do you talk to your friends the way you talk to people on this forum?

Also, I live in a world where people care about their fellow human beings. People who care about their friends don't condescend to them with unfounded superiority.

At the risk of sounding like you...

I live in a better world than yours.

Thanks for the help from everyone. (even Elmo)

I was able to successfully download the latest version, drag and drop the virus protection file, and install it.

I appreciate the help and will continue to contribute in those areas where I can as well.

Friends smack each other upside the head when one stands there at the Chevy Suburban and says, "Hey, how do you open the car door? Does this thing have a handle?"

Also, I live in a world where people care about their fellow human beings.

Are you saying I don't?

I probably care more, because I'd rather see people fend for themselves--especially with something this simple--than sit in a pool of their own urine, whining.

Give a fish, teach a fish. You'd rather give fish all day long, and create blithering idiots who can't think for themselves.

No, you don't. You only think you do.

But you'll learn.
