Chupa Chupa, you mentioned that one of your reasons for buying the Sony reader was that "My local library has lots of PDF books (they self-destruct after two weeks). The Sony Reader does PDFs natively, the Kindle doesn't. "
I actually own the Sony reader (and love it) but just a head's up, I am 99% sure that the Sony only supports .PDF files that do not have any DRM on them. Problem is, the ones you get from the library DO have DRM in the files (that's what makes them expire after 2 weeks). Those .pdfs from the library will work on Mac's and PCs running Adobe Digital Editions, but not on the Sony reader.
Sony has said it might add support for Adobe Digital Editions in the future, but until it actually happens, who knows.
Lots of good info on the Sony reader at this website here: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/
There's an entire forum dedicated just to the Sony (as well as forums for other models like the Kindle as well).
Thanks!
