Apparently I'm no longer a red light camera virgin

>>a free people should not abide red light cameras. Period.

if you don't like traffic laws, you're free not to drive a car!

[quote RAMd®d]It's a little scary that people "don't remember" running a red light or stop sign.
It's not that hard if you're driving in a unfamiliar area. I remember driving in Pittsburgh when I was young and running a red light because the traffic light was off to the right of the intersection on a pole in the sidewalk. If you didn't know it was there, it was easy to miss. Especially in an urban environment with lots of background clutter and other distractions.

That's all the more reason to actually pay attention rather than drive on auto pilot.

I've seen a few instances of clutter over the years, but those that obscure signs or signals from view of a competent driver have been rare indeed, in my experience, compared to the number of drivers who "don't remember seeing any sign", etc.
