Finally pulled the trigger on an iPhone...
#11
iTunes 7.7.1 (11) hosed the Apps I (and many others from what I read) D/L . Stay with an earlier version if you can (I still don't know how to revert to the earlier iTunes that worked for me). I moved from a Treo 650. I'm still trying to get used to the clunky interface of Calendar. Wait 'till you want to enter an event that's a long way off. Palm was much easier to navigate IMO. I could NOT get a Bluetooth keyboard (DiNovo Mini) to pair up with my 16GB iPhone. I had hoped to make data entry easier. The Palm Tungsten T3 was the best PDA I've ever used. I find the iPhone to be marginal as a PDA so far. I'm really hoping that I'll get used to it and, some Apps will become available to make data entry more Palm like. At least the voice quality on phone calls has been excellent for me although, I don't make that many phone calls.

In answer to above comment re Writing Pad only useful for taking notes, it offers the ability to send that note as an email, which is why I use it instead of Mail for composing.
